Asseco's achievements in Africa recognized by international research institutes

Projects implemented by Asseco in the Republic of Togo have been highlighted in two renowned studies on technological development in Africa. The reports, prepared by the Center for International Governance Innovation (CIGI) and the Institut Français des Relations Internationales (IFRI), described Asseco's cooperation with the Togolese government as an effective way to provide knowledge and technology to develop the country's key IT areas.
The report, "Navigating Africa's Digital Partnerships in a Context of Global Rivalry," by a researcher leading the Global Economic Governance Programme at the University of Oxfrod, describes Asseco's cooperation with the Togolese government in the area of cyber security, where the country earlier lacked competence and resources. The project launched the National Security Center to support the protection of Togolese critical infrastructure, companies, government and citizens from cyber threats. CERT and SOC structures have been established, with highly qualified personnel, thanks in part to the training provided.
We have been working with the government of the Republic of Togo since 2019, and during this time we have managed to establish CERT and SOC structures with top-notch tools and train local experts according to international standards, said Paweł Hansdorfer, director of foreign markets at Asseco Data Systems.
The United Nations Economic Commission for Africa decided to take advantage of the experience of this team and to establish the African Cyber Security Coordination and Research Center in Togo. Our cooperation with the country has thus resulted not only in enhancing its cyber security, but also enabled it to become a leading cyber security center in the region, he added.
Asseco's activities in Togo have also been recognized and described by the Institut Français des Relations Internationales. It is the only French research institution to be included among the 50 most influential think tanks in the world (excluding the United States).
